h&a happenings is a boutique event planning & design company based near Boston. I'm not into big boring corporate events, and instead focus on all things intimate, unique, fresh, fun, and happy. A few things I absolutely love include:
sangria
fireside chats
farm to table dinners
candles
antiques & anything vintage
laughter - lots of laughter
dancing all night long
clients who become my friends

Planning any event – from a small birthday celebration to an elaborate weekend getaway with friends – takes time, energy, and attention to detail. For some, planning any event can be stressful and a chore. For others - like me - the planning process is what makes us tick.
I’ve been planning parties since I was a child, although I’ve graduated from thinking a Kool-Aid water balloon party is the next best thing. Now, my favorite time of year to throw a party is in the fall (especially in New England) with lots of warm colors, comfort food, and a big fire in the outdoor fireplace. A lot of research goes into every event that I plan, mostly because I absolutely love peeling back every possible creative layer.
From an intimate dinner party for six to a wedding with 150 guests, there is nothing more exciting to me than sitting down with a client to go over their vision for their event. I have a soft spot for everything handcrafted and vintage, and I spend a lot of time making a lot of the decorations myself that I end up using in my events. I always find ways to use something that wouldn’t normally be considered, and I take pride in creating events that showcase my client’s style and sensibility with a twist of fun.
So, let’s have a chat. I begin by listening to your story and by finding out what is important and unique to you. Shoot me an email or give me a ring and let's see what happens!
